At a time when I was younger at Salaban 2 Batangas Philippines. I had a experience of being messy. Growing up, my grandmother had always taken care of the cleaning, so I never learned how to tidy up. My room was always cluttered with books, clothes, and art supplies scattered everywhere.
Then one day I met my Japanese husband. We quickly fell in love and decided to get married. One day, I woke up feeling determined to change. I wanted to make home a place of harmony and happiness. So I called my friend and asked for advice on cleaning and organizing. My friends was delighted to help and gave her plenty of tips. So before we getting married I enrolled in a housekeeping short course to learn how to tidy up the house. After our wedding, we moved into a cozy little house in Japan.
Year 2003,when I was in Japan already. I started with small tasks. I began by washing the dishes after meals and making the bed every morning. Slowly but surely, I learned how to sweep, mop, and organize our belongings. Each time I completed a chore, I felt a sense of accomplishment and pride. More importantly, I noticed the joy it brought to my Japanese hubby.
The transformation of our home has happened over the years. My Japanese husband was impressed by my efforts and greatly valued the changes I made. Our relationship grew stronger for twenty years as we worked together to maintain clean and comfortable home.
I realized that cleaning wasn't just about removing dirt and clutter; it was an act of love and care for our shared space. I found happiness in creating a welcoming environment for myself and my Japanese hubby.
Our home became our haven of peace and happiness for me and my husband, A proof of the lessons we learned and the love we had. Through our couple journey, I discovered that with determination and a bit of effort, even the most daunting tasks could be conquered, and a beautiful life could be built together.
To Tidy up the house⤵️
To efficiently clean and tidy your house, start by decluttering one room at a time. Use the "Four-Box Method"—label boxes as "Keep," "Donate," "Trash," and "Relocate." This method helps you systematically sort items, making it easier to organize your space. After decluttering, clean from top to bottom, starting with dusting ceiling fans and shelves, then vacuuming or mopping floors last. This ensures that any dust or dirt knocked down during the process gets cleaned up at the end.
Here are some practical tips for cleaning your house efficiently:⤵️
1. Create a Cleaning Schedule: Break down tasks into daily, weekly, and monthly chores to avoid feeling overwhelmed and to maintain a consistently clean home.
2. Declutter First: Before you start cleaning, go through each room and get rid of items you no longer need. This will make the cleaning process easier and more effective.
3. Gather Your Supplies: Ensure you have all necessary cleaning supplies, such as all-purpose cleaner, sponges, microfiber cloths, a vacuum, and a mop. This saves time and prevents interruptions.
4. Clean Room by Room: Focus on one room at a time to stay organized and motivated. This method allows you to see progress, which can be encouraging.
5. Top to Bottom, Left to Right: Dust and clean from the top of the room down to the floor to prevent re-cleaning. Clean each room from one side to the other to ensure you don’t miss any areas.
6. Use the Right Tools: For dusting, use microfiber cloths, which are more effective at trapping dust than regular cloths. Use a vacuum with attachments for different surfaces and hard-to-reach places.
7. Bathroom Tips: Use a vinegar and baking soda solution to clean tough stains and soap scum. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before scrubbing and rinsing.
8. Kitchen Tips: Clean as you cook to minimize the mess. Use a mixture of warm water and dish soap to clean countertops, and regularly empty and wipe down the inside of your fridge.
9. Floor Care: Vacuum carpets and rugs regularly and mop hard floors with a suitable cleaner. Pay extra attention to high-traffic areas.
10. Freshen Up: Open windows to let in fresh air and consider using natural air fresheners like essential oils or baking soda to keep your home smelling clean.
11. Involve the Family: Assign age-appropriate tasks to family members to share the workload. It’s a great way to teach responsibility and teamwork.
By following these tips, you can maintain a clean and organized home more efficiently, making the task less daunting and more manageable.
