It is a behavior that is intended to harm, intimidate, or demean an individual, causing them to fear for their safety and well-being. Bullies often target people who are perceived as weak or different from them, such as those who are overweight, have disabilities, or are part of a minority group. The impact of bullying can be devastating and long-lasting. It can destroy a person's self-esteem and confidence, making them feel worthless and powerless. Additionally, bullying can negatively affect a person's academic and social life, hindering their ability to succeed in school and build meaningful relationships with others. Unfortunately, many people who are bullied feel ashamed and isolated, making it challenging to seek help or support. However, speaking to a trusted teacher, counselor, or friend can help mitigate the impact of bullying and provide much-needed emotional support. In conclusion, being bullied is a traumatic experience that can have a lasting impact on a person's life. Schools, parents, and communities must work together to raise awareness about the effects of bullying and ensure a safe environment for bullied individuals. Preventing bullying and cultivating a more inclusive society requires accepting diversity and promoting understanding and compassion.


If you are being bullied, it is important to take action to protect yourself and get help. Here are some steps you can take:


1. Speak up

  • Let someone know that you are being bullied. 
  • This could be a trusted friend, family member, teacher, or counselor. 
  • They can provide support and help you figure out what to do next.

2. Stay calm

  • Do your best to remain calm and avoid reacting emotionally to the bullying. 
  • Bullies often want to get a reaction out of their victims, so by staying calm, you may be able to defuse the situation.

3. Keep a record

  • Write down what happened, when it happened, and who was involved. 
  • This can be useful if you need to report the bullying to a teacher, principal, or other authority figure.

4. Stand up for yourself

  • If you feel comfortable doing so, assertively tell the bully to stop their behavior. 
  • Use "I" statements such as "I don't like it when you..." or "It makes me feel uncomfortable when you...".

5. Get help

  • If the bullying persists or becomes physical, report it to a teacher, counselor, or other authority figure. 
  • They can help you come up with a plan to deal with the situation.


Remember, bullying is not your fault and you deserve to be treated with respect. Don't hesitate to seek help if you need it.

Ano ang gagawin kung ikaw ay na-bully?


Kung ikaw ay na-bully, mahalagang gawin ang mga sumusunod na hakbang upang maprotektahan ang iyong sarili at makakuha ng tulong:

  1. Magsalita: Ipakita sa iba na ikaw ay na-bully. Ito ay maaaring sa pamamagitan ng pagpapahayag sa isang tiwala na kaibigan, miyembro ng pamilya, guro, o counselor. Maari nilang magbigay ng suporta at tulungan kang malaman kung ano ang dapat mong gawin.
