Hello, dear readers! ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š

(❀^ฯ‰^)๏พ‰๏พž

I hope you are all doing well and taking good care of your health.

I wasn’t able to get a good night’s sleep last night because I experienced another episode of acid reflux. It was one of those uncomfortable nights when the burning sensation in my chest and throat made it difficult to lie down or relax. Instead of sleeping peacefully, I found myself awake for hours, trying to find a comfortable position.

Since I couldn’t sleep, I decided to chat with my friend. During our conversation, I told to my friend that I had been dealing with acid reflux throughout the night. After trying to stay calm and taking small sips of water, I eventually prepared a hot cup of peppermint with ginkgo biloba tea. Surprisingly, after drinking it, I gradually felt more comfortable, and the symptoms slowly settled down enough for me to finally rest.

This experience inspired me to write today’s blog because it reminded me that every person’s body can respond differently to foods, drinks, and herbal products.

What Is Acid Reflux?

Acid reflux occurs when stomach acid flows backward into the esophagus, the tube connecting the mouth to the stomach. Normally, a small muscular valve called the Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES) closes after food enters the stomach. If this valve becomes weak or relaxes at the wrong time, stomach acid can move upward, causing irritation.

Common Symptoms

  • Burning sensation in the chest (heartburn)
  • Sour or bitter taste in the mouth
  • Regurgitation of stomach contents
  • Sore throat
  • Frequent burping
  • Difficulty sleeping because symptoms worsen when lying down
  • Chronic cough in some people

Nightime acid reflux can be especially uncomfortable because lying flat makes it easier for stomach acid to travel upward.

My Personal Experience

During last night’s attack, I noticed that the burning sensation continued for quite some time. I tried relaxing and sitting upright. Eventually, I made a warm cup of peppermint with ginkgo biloba tea.

After drinking it slowly, I personally felt relief as the discomfort gradually eased. I cannot say with certainty that the tea alone stopped the acid reflux because symptoms sometimes improve on their own, and changing posture or simply waiting can also help. Still, this was my own experience, and I wanted to share it honestly.

Why Doesn’t Peppermint Tea Work for Everyone?

This is an important question because many people have heard mixed opinions about peppermint tea.

The answer is simple:

Our bodies are different.

Peppermint contains natural compounds that can help relax muscles and may soothe stomach discomfort for some people. However, peppermint can also relax the Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES). When this happens, stomach acid may flow back into the esophagus more easily, making acid reflux worse for many people.

That is why doctors often advise people with frequent acid reflux or GERD to be cautious with peppermint products.

Why Did It Seem to Help Me?

There are several possible explanations, although no one can say for certain:

  • My symptoms may have started improving naturally around the same time I drank the tea.
  • Drinking a warm beverage may have helped me feel calmer and more relaxed.
  • Sitting upright while slowly sipping the tea may have reduced the discomfort.
  • My body may simply tolerate peppermint differently than someone else’s.

As for ginkgo biloba, it is more commonly used in studies related to circulation and cognitive function. It is not an established treatment for acid reflux, so it is not possible to conclude that it relieved my reflux symptoms.

This is why my experience should be viewed as a personal story rather than proof that peppermint or ginkgo biloba tea is an effective treatment for acid reflux.

Why Every Person Reacts Differently

Several factors influence how our bodies respond:

  • Genetics
  • Overall digestive health
  • Foods eaten before symptoms started
  • Amount of stomach acid
  • Stress levels
  • Body weight
  • Other medical conditions
  • Medications
  • Individual sensitivity to herbs

Because of these differences, something that feels helpful for one person may make another person’s symptoms worse.

Tips for Managing Acid Reflux

If you experience acid reflux regularly, these habits may help:

  • Eat smaller meals.
  • Avoid lying down for at least 2–3 hours after eating.
  • Limit fatty, spicy, or highly acidic foods if they trigger your symptoms.
  • Maintain a healthy weight.
  • Sleep with your head slightly elevated.
  • Drink enough water throughout the day.
  • Keep a food diary to identify your personal triggers.
  • If symptoms happen often or become severe, consult your healthcare provider for proper evaluation and treatment.

Final Thoughts

Last night’s experience reminded me how uncomfortable acid reflux can be. Although I personally felt better after drinking a warm cup of peppermint with ginkgo biloba tea, I also understand that this may not be the right choice for everyone.

If peppermint seems to worsen your symptoms, it is best to avoid it. If it appears to help you, it is still wise to discuss it with your healthcare provider—especially if you have frequent acid reflux, GERD, or take medications, since herbal products such as ginkgo biloba can interact with some medicines.

Health is deeply personal, and what matters most is learning how your own body responds while making decisions based on both personal experience and reliable medical guidance.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! ๐ŸŒฟ

 - ̗̀ ( ˶'แต•'˶) ̖́-Hello, everyone!

If you’ve noticed a lack of updates here on this blog lately, it wasn’t because I ran out of things to say. Instead, I’ve been dealing with a stubborn health issue that literally kept me away from my keyboard.

For the past several months, I have been struggling with severe pain in my shoulder joint. It got so intense that there were days when I completely lost the ability to move my arm properly. Simple everyday tasks—like typing a new blog post or even writing by hand—became incredibly painful because of the intense stiffness and ache in my shoulder.

Realizing this wasn't just a minor muscle strain, I finally decided to see a doctor.

What the Doctor Found: X-Rays and Calcium Deficiency⤵️

To figure out what was going on, my doctor ordered an X-ray of my shoulder. The results were eye-opening: the X-ray revealed visible inflammation in the bones right between my arm and shoulder joint.

Interestingly, this flare-up started right around the time I was diagnosed with a calcium deficiency. Calcium is vital for maintaining bone density and joint health. When your body lacks enough calcium, it can weaken the bone structures, potentially making the surrounding joints more susceptible to stress, friction, and painful inflammation.

The Treatment: Hyaluronic Acid Injections⤵️

To help me manage the pain and regain my mobility, my doctor administered a hyaluronic acid injection directly into the shoulder joint, along with prescribing some medication.

If you aren't familiar with it, hyaluronic acid acts like a natural lubricant or "shock absorber" for your joints. When inflammation dries up or damages the natural fluid in your shoulder, this injection helps cushion the bones so they don't rub against each other, making movement much smoother and less painful.

Understanding the Causes of Shoulder Joint Pain⤵️

If you are experiencing similar symptoms, shoulder joint inflammation can stem from a variety of interconnected factors:

Nutritional Deficiencies: As in my case, a lack of essential minerals like calcium can compromise bone strength and joint integrity, leading to secondary inflammation.

Overuse or Repetitive Strain: Spending long hours typing, writing, or lifting can strain the tendons and bursae in the shoulder.

Osteoarthritis or Wear-and-Tear: The cartilage protecting the joint can wear down over time, leading to bone-on-bone friction.

Bursitis or Tendonitis: Inflammation of the fluid-filled sacs (bursae) or tendons that cushion the shoulder joint.

Essential Self-Care Tips for Shoulder Health⤵️

Recovering from joint inflammation takes time and patience. Here are a few self-care strategies that my doctor recommended (and that might help you, too):

Rest and Pacing: Avoid repetitive arm movements. If your job involves a lot of typing, take frequent breaks to rest your shoulders.

Cold and Heat Therapy: Use an ice pack for 15–20 minutes to reduce acute swelling. Once the sharp pain subsides, switching to a warm compress can help relax stiff muscles.

Calcium and Vitamin D Optimization: If diagnosed with a deficiency, strictly follow your doctor's advice on calcium supplements. Don't forget Vitamin D, as your body needs it to actually absorb the calcium.

Ergonomic Adjustments: Ensure your desk setup supports good posture. Keep your keyboard and mouse at a height where your shoulders can remain relaxed and un-hunched.

Gentle Stretching: Once cleared by a professional, gentle pendulum stretches can help maintain the joint's range of motion and prevent it from freezing up.

Enhanced Self-Care Tips for Shoulder Health

Recovering from joint inflammation takes time, patience, and a deliberate change in daily habits. Here are the key self-care strategies that can help manage the pain and prevent future flare-ups:

Enforce Strict Keyboard Breaks: Since typing and writing trigger the pain, use the 20-20-20 rule or set a timer for every 30 minutes. Step away from the screen, let your arms hang loosely, and shake out any tension in your hands and shoulders.

Optimize Your Ergonomics: Make sure your elbows are bent at a 90-degree angle when typing, and your chair supports your lower back. Avoid hunching forward, as this places immense, unnatural pressure directly on your shoulder joints.

Contrast Therapy (Ice and Heat):

•Use an ice pack wrapped in a towel for 15 minutes when you feel sharp, burning pain or after a long day of moving your arm; this actively brings down swelling.

•Use a heating pad or a warm compress before doing light movements to loosen up stiff muscles and improve blood circulation.

Sleeping Posture: Avoid sleeping directly on the painful shoulder. Try sleeping on your back or on the opposite side, and place a supportive pillow under your affected arm to keep the shoulder joint in a neutral, stress-free position overnight.

Gentle Range-of-Motion Exercises: Once the acute pain begins to fade, do not keep the shoulder completely still, or it might stiffen up (a condition known as frozen shoulder). Try gentle pendulum stretches—lean forward, let your arm dangle toward the floor, and gently sway it in small circles.

Essential Vitamins & Minerals for Joint and Bone Recovery⤵️

When dealing with bone inflammation and a diagnosed calcium deficiency, changing your diet and supplementing correctly is crucial. Your bones and joints work as a system, meaning calcium needs specific team players to be absorbed properly:

Calcium (The Foundation): Since my X-ray showed inflammation likely tied to a calcium deficiency, keeping up with your prescribed calcium intake is a must. It directly repairs and maintains bone density. Look for calcium-rich foods like dairy, leafy greens, and fortified plant milks.

Vitamin D3 (The Gatekeeper): Calcium is practically useless without Vitamin D3. Your body cannot absorb calcium from your stomach into your bloodstream without it. Getting safe sun exposure or taking a D3 supplement ensures the calcium you consume actually reaches your shoulder bones.

mVitamin K2 (The Traffic Controller): While Vitamin D absorbs the calcium, Vitamin K2 ensures that the calcium goes directly into your bones and teeth rather than building up in your arteries or joints as painful calcifications. It is a vital partner to Vitamin D.

Magnesium (The Balancer): Magnesium helps convert Vitamin D into its active form so it can do its job. It also acts as a natural muscle relaxant, which can greatly ease the tight, spasming muscles around a painful shoulder joint.

Vitamin C (The Collagen Builder): The joint cartilage and tendons are made largely of collagen. Vitamin C is essential for collagen synthesis, helping the soft tissues around your shoulder heal alongside the bones.

Final Thoughts⤵️

Taking a break from writing was frustrating, but it was a harsh reminder that our health must always come first. I am currently on the mend, feeling a bit better every day thanks to the treatment, and I am incredibly eager to get back to a regular blogging routine.

⚠️ A Quick Note for My Readers: Always consult with your healthcare provider before starting any new high-dose supplement regimen, as they can interact with other medications or specific medical conditions!

Hello everyone, and welcome back to my blog. ๐ŸŒฟ✨

First of all, I want to sincerely thank you for still being here and visiting my little corner on the internet, even though it has been quite a while since my last blog post. Life has been unexpectedly 「busy」 these past few months, busy-not with work, but instead busy recovering from my medical condition of hypothyroidism and calcium deficiency,  and honestly, there were moments when I needed to step away for a while, recharge mentally and emotionally, and focus on personal matters behind the scenes. Sometimes, even when we love creating content and sharing ideas, we also need time to rest, breathe, and regain our energy.

During my break, I found myself reflecting deeply about mental peace, emotional health, and how the people around us can greatly affect our energy. I realized that not everyone we meet brings positivity, comfort, or genuine support into our lives. Some people can be emotionally draining, manipulative, overly negative, or exhausting to be around — and sometimes we do not even notice how much our peace and energy are slowly being affected until we feel completely overwhelmed.

That is one of the reasons why I wanted to come back with a topic that I believe many people can quietly relate to, especially those who are trying their best to protect their emotional well-being while dealing with difficult people in everyday life.

So for today’s blog, we are going to talk about a very important topic that many people experience but often struggle to openly discuss:

 ๐ŸŒฑ

Now, we will discuss how to recognize toxic behavior, how to avoid becoming emotionally drained, and how to prioritize your peace without feeling guilty about it. Because protecting your energy is not selfish — it is a form of self-respect, emotional self-care, and personal growth. ๐Ÿ’›

How to Protect Your Energy from Toxic People⤵️

In today’s world, protecting your peace is just as important as protecting your physical health. We all encounter people who drain our energy — those who constantly bring negativity, manipulation, drama, criticism, or emotional stress into our lives. Sometimes they can be strangers, co-workers, friends, or even people very close to us. Over time, being surrounded by toxic energy can affect our mental health, emotional stability, confidence, and even our physical well-being.

The truth is, not every battle deserves your attention, and not every person deserves access to your energy. Learning how to protect yourself emotionally is not selfish — it is a form of self-care and self-respect. When you begin setting healthy boundaries and choosing peace over chaos, you create space for healing, growth, happiness, and inner calm.

In this blog, we will talk about practical and healthy ways to protect your energy from toxic people, while also learning how to stay emotionally strong without losing your kindness and compassion.

1. Learn to Recognize Toxic Behavior⤵️

The first step in protecting your energy is awareness. Toxic people often leave you feeling emotionally exhausted, anxious, guilty, angry, or mentally drained after interacting with them. Some common toxic behaviors include:

  • Constant criticism
  • Manipulation
  • Gaslighting
  • Excessive negativity
  • Controlling behavior
  • Fake kindness with hidden intentions
  • Jealousy and competitiveness
  • Playing the victim all the time

When you recognize these patterns early, you become more capable of protecting your emotional space before the damage becomes deeper.

2. Set Healthy Boundaries⤵️

Boundaries are one of the strongest forms of self-protection. You do not need to explain yourself endlessly just to make others comfortable. It is okay to say:

  • “No.”
  • “I need space.”
  • “I’m not comfortable with that.”
  • “I don’t want to discuss this.”

Healthy boundaries help protect your emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. People who truly respect you will understand your limits. Toxic people, however, often become upset when they can no longer control your energy.

3. Stop Absorbing Everyone’s Problems⤵️

Being compassionate does not mean carrying everyone else’s emotional baggage. Some people constantly dump negativity onto others without taking responsibility for their own healing. If you absorb all their stress, anger, and problems, you may end up emotionally overwhelmed yourself.

You can care about people without sacrificing your own peace. Support others when you can, but remember that you are not responsible for fixing everyone.

4. Protect Your Inner Peace⤵️

Your peace is valuable. Avoid unnecessary drama, gossip, arguments, and environments that constantly create emotional tension. Sometimes silence and distance are more powerful than trying to prove your point.

Protecting your peace may include:⤵️

  • Spending less time with draining people
  • Limiting social media negativity
  • Avoiding toxic conversations
  • Choosing calm environments
  • Prioritizing rest and self-care

Inner peace is something you build and protect daily.

5. Trust Your Intuition⤵️

Your intuition often notices toxic energy before your mind fully understands it. If someone consistently makes you feel uneasy, emotionally drained, anxious, or unsafe, do not ignore those feelings.

Your emotional reactions can sometimes be warning signs that your energy is being affected. Learning to trust yourself is an important part of emotional protection.

6. Surround Yourself with Positive Energy⤵️

The people around you influence your mindset, emotions, and overall energy. Healthy relationships should bring support, encouragement, honesty, respect, and peace — not constant stress and emotional confusion.

Spend more time with people who:⤵️

  • Respect your boundaries
  • Encourage your growth
  • Bring calmness instead of chaos
  • Support your healing
  • Celebrate your happiness genuinely

Positive environments help your mind and body feel safer and lighter.

7. Practice Self-Care and Emotional Healing⤵️

When you constantly deal with toxic people, emotional exhaustion can slowly build up. This is why self-care is important. Taking care of yourself emotionally helps restore your energy and mental clarity.

Simple self-care practices include:⤵️

  • Listening to calming music
  • Journaling your thoughts
  • Spending time in nature
  • Meditation or prayer
  • Getting proper sleep
  • Eating healthy foods
  • Taking breaks from stressful situations

Healing yourself emotionally helps strengthen your boundaries and emotional resilience.

8. Accept That You Cannot Change Everyone⤵️

One of the hardest lessons is understanding that some people do not want to change. No matter how kind, patient, or understanding you are, you cannot force someone to become healthier emotionally.

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is create distance and protect your own well-being. Choosing yourself does not make you cruel — it means you are learning self-respect.

Final Thoughts⤵️

Protecting your energy is not about becoming cold-hearted or avoiding everyone. It is about learning how to maintain your peace, emotional health, and self-worth in a world where negativity can easily consume people.

You deserve relationships that bring comfort, respect, support, and genuine care — not constant emotional exhaustion. The more you value your inner peace, the more you will understand that protecting your energy is one of the most important forms of self-love.

Always remember: not everyone deserves access to your mind, heart, and energy. Choose carefully who you allow into your emotional space.
